Members of Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful’s Board of Directors connect with like-minded community and business achievers and join a positive force for environmental stewardship.

3. Final approval by the Board.

Board Member Responsibility

• Inform others about KNIB’s efforts and successes
• Participate in operating budget development and fund-raising efforts
• Attend at least 75% of the monthly Board of Directors' and committee meetings in addition to the annual training/planning retreat when presented.
• Give one to three hours of time per month to attend board and/or committee meetings. (4:30 PM; first Wednesday of each month)
• Give three to six hours of time per year participating in programs and/or fundraising events
• . Provide individual and corporate financial operating support or program sponsorship. 
• Encourage friends and associates to become donors.
• Assist the Executive Director to:

– Establish realistic goals

– Resolve issues 

– Coordinate programs with other community organizations 

– Cultivate individuals to serve on the Board of Directors
