When the American flag (Old Glory) becomes worn, torn, faded or badly soiled, it is time to replace it with a new flag. The old flag should not be discarded in the trash, but rather "retired" with all the dignity and respect befitting a national symbol.

Each month of June, KNIB promotes flag retirement. In addition, KNIB accepts flags at our Recycling Centers all year when open to the public.  Flags are collected and held until June for a proper retirement ceremony.
