April 13, 2016, Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful was honored with the

Seth B. Atwood Memorial Park and Conservation Service Award

Named for the late industrialist who preserved and donated more than 1,000 acres of land to Winnebago County citizens, it is presented by the Rockford Park District and Forest Preserves of Winnebago County.
Organizations or individuals are nominated for “exceptional volunteer contributions in providing facilities, programs, or services in areas of preservation of natural areas and park spaces, recreation and education.”
In his introductory remarks, Rockford Park District Executive Director Tim Dimke said, “Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful is a great partner because they are so organized and passionate.” 

Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful has been recognized with many awards since 1988:
